About Me
Hello,
My name is Brandon Belew, I am a 24 year old male from Pittsburg, KS. I work at the local newspaper as a web developer ( Online Specialist ) and as a Technician ( Business Unit Tech ). In my free time I enjoy scuba diving and just piddling around on the internet. I am currently a PADI Advanced Open Water certified diver, not the highest on the totem pole but I am working on completing my PADI Rescue Diver and studying up for my PADI Dive Master certification. Diving is a big part of my life, there is very little I enjoy more!
Although I may look / sound like an idiot at times, I did believe it or not attend some shred of college. After a brief stint in the Marines ( straight out of highschool ), I headed out to Denver Colorado to attend school at Westwood. I was going after my bachelors in "Network Management", why? I really don't know. Guess it's just because i've always been pretty good behind/inside a computer.
Due to some issues with my roommate and a few health issues, unfortunately I was not able to stay in Denver for the entire degree. I did/do plan on completing a degree eventually, but unfortunately college isn't exactly in my price range at the moment.
I do however hope to do some Apple training and get my Apple certification, as well as my Microsoft certification. Aside from the tech stuff, I am a self taught PHP programmer and a horrible web designer.
I admit, design is not a thing for me. I try, and usually fail but hey.. at least I try right?
In my personal life: I am engaged, believe it or not.. a geek like me can actually get and hold onto a girlfriend.
We plan on getting married in the next year and a half at some point during or between her bachelors degree and masters degree. She is a beautiful red headed future social worker who just so happens to like me enough to say yes :) Oh but don't worry, there will not be any baby Brandon's crawling around at least until she is 26.
I guess that just about sums it all up, see? I am boring after all!
